Cupcake Invitations

Cupcake Baby Shower Invitations

So, I have had a busy week. I made 70 Cupcake Baby Shower Invitations for a friend. I wanted to share with you how I made them and some tips for how to make so many & not get board with them.

Instructions
 Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge
Button #4 All Layers Cut at 4.5"

Inside Stamp - Martha Stewart Stamp

Stickles

Tips
To make so many effectively I layed everything out on my gypsy as close as I could. Each layer I put as many on the mat as possible for an 8.5"x11" paper. I used 2- 8.5"x11"paper packs from Michaels to create it. The pinks were from the Butterfly Wings & then also the Black & White Pack. Because I was cutting out so many, I even titled each layer- how many pages I needed to cut and what color. Then I pulled out that many pages & cut all of that layer and then moved on to the next layer & repeated the process. After I had everything cut, I started adhering them in sets of 10. By working with sets of 10, I didn't get tired of any one step. It was also a great way to keep track of how any I had done. I finished them off with the cherry, a dot of stickles, and the Sweet Cupcake stamp. I have to say that My Pink Stamp Stamps are an amazing quality photopolymer stamp. I stamped it 70 times right on the invitations & never messed up. It looks so clear & crisp. I use Stazon black ink with it & it looks amazing. I was so suprised that I was able to complete them from start to finish in 2 days (along with my normal responsibilities around the house).

I hope these tips help you know you can achieve a large project without being overwhelmed by it.
Just break it down in to steps.

Then after I finished them the soon to be mother had a 2nd ultra sound and found out that she is having a boy. So now I will be creating Baby Invitations with the monkey from Create A Critter.
At least they know other ladies who are having girls that can use these invitations.

My 2 year old's Birthday Party

 Birthday Party Decor

We celebrated my 2 yr old's Birthday with the family on Saturday. I wanted to make a banner but didn't have a pennant on any of my cartridges and didn't want to create a triangle one so I found this tag from Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge. It is button 8 cut at width-5.35" x height 5.6". I embossed the bottom half with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. Then cut the white letters from Lyrical Letters Cricut Cartridge, Jumbo function at 3". I love that I was able to make a Birthday banner with what I had. If you don't have something, be creative with something you do have.

I made cupcakes for her birthday & wanted to try to make cupcake holders. These were cut from Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge, button 10 at 7". The base of the holder ends up being about 2.5" I wasn't sure what size to make them & this was what I guessed. It left enough room to get the cupcake out without getting icing allover your fingers. I stamped them with My Pink Stamper Stamps:

These were fun to make & made the Birthday special. I can even use them over again next year.

I'll Always Love You - MPS Card

 I'll Always Love You

First, I want to welcome all my new followers and thank everyone for your amazing comments on my posts. I do read them all. I get so excited & I keep looking to see if I have any new comments. So feel free to leave comments on my posts. If you have any questions, just email me & I will be happy to answer them.

For our My Pink Stamper Design Team post today, it is Pink, Love, & with the Love-alicious stamp set. Go to My Pink Stamper's web site to view all the design teams amazing projects. I am sure you will be inspired and want to get these stamps for yourself.

Now for the card. Once I figured out what I wanted to create, this card was alot of fun to put together.

Cricut Cuts and Supplies Used
Gypsy Wanderings Cricut Cartridge
Card Base- button #6 Decor Tag- 7.25"(scored & folded in half)
Card Frame- button #6 Shift Decor Tag- 7.25" (scored & folded in half)
Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge
 Couple- button #4- 3.35"
Lyrical Letters Cricut Cartridge
Heart- button #44 Shift Connected- 5"

Cuttlebug Embossing Folder-Swiss Dots
Pink Rhinestone Accents- Treasures by Shabby Chic
Core'dinations Paper
Making Memories Sanding Block
Stazon Black Ink

Instructions & Tips
Cut out all the cuts on the Cricut. I used Core'dination Paper for all of it. I love that paper because it cuts so well on the Cricut, it is textured, and it has a colored core inside. Sand the edges of the cuts. Score the Frame & Card Base down the middle. Emboss the base of the card with the Embossing folder. I embossed each side of it separately so it would fit and I wouldn't have any weird lines. Glue the Frame & Card Base together. Have them folded half way when you adhere them or it won't fold well. Line them up first because there is a right & wrong way. Glue the Couple down. Stamp, I'll always love you, on the heart. Just so you know. My Pink Stamper Stamps are an AMAZING quality. You can see how crisp & fine the stamp looks. They are some of the best stamps I have ever used. Yes, I had that opinion even before I was on this design team. Ok, back to the card. I used Stickles on the top right corner of the heart. It looks like a smudge in the picture. Pop up the heart & add rhinestones around the card. On the inside of the card I added a paper since it was embossed. I rounded two of the corners with a corner rounder to follow the shape of the card.
Thank you for reading this long post. I know it is very detailed, so I could share some tips with you.
I hope to do some videos soon to show all the details in my posts.

Happy Birthday Robyn aka My Pink Stamper

Happy Birthday Robyn aka MPS
Today is Robyn's birthday, so I wanted to share a card that I made for her.

If you are looking for my Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Post click HERE.

Cuts & Supplies

Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge
Owl- 2 3/4"
Branch- 2"
More Punny-licious Stamps
Cuttlebug- Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
Core'dinations Paper
Pop Dots- on the Owl
Stickles- Star Dust
Glossy Accents
Sparkle Gel Pen

On the inside the card says Happy Birthday.
I will just be getting this mailed out today. So it will get to her a bit late.

I have a funny story to go along with this card. My 3yr old daughter is ALWAYS crafting with me. I wanted to do a Frog cut & use the "Hip Hop Hooray" stamp that Robyn had at CHA last summer. My daughter kept saying, "No, mommy make the Owl!" So I did & this is what I came up with. It was a quick fun card to make.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #44

Neglected Cricut Cartridge
-use a Cricut Cartridge that you haven't used in over 6 months. Join us for the FCCB challenge HERE.

I haven't used my Graphically Speaking Cricut Cartridge in a while. When I first got it, I had to have it. I saw so many useful cuts on it. I think most of them are better for scrapbook layouts than cards.  I have been making so many cards and have neglected scrapbooking so therefore, neglected this cartridge.

This layout was a real challenge for me because I only wanted to use this one Cricut Cartridge on it. Then, I picked such a detailed cut that it took some patience to make it. The ABC frame had so many little pieces & then I chose to use the ABC background too, so that was twice the pieces.  So I hope you enjoy this project.

Cuts and Supplies Used:

Graphically Speaking Cricut Cartridge
Button #9- Icon & Icon Blackout- ABC frame 9"
Button #9- Type- Learn 1.5"
Button #33- Icon & Icon Blackout- 1+2=3  1"

All of the solid color papers are from Core'dinations. I love using them because they cut so well on the Cricut, even on all the detailed cuts. I set my Blade at 6 & my pressure at Max.

I used pop up dots to raise up the ABC frame and add dimension.  I added rustic twine and buttons from Paper Trey Ink where I had some empty space.

Since this layout could describe the Tons Of Fun that someone could have at school...I included that stamp from My Pink Stamper's More Punny-licious stamp set.

The ribbon was something I had. I am not sure who makes it.

I also embellished with a White Jelly Roll Pen, by adding dots around the paper, since there were dots on the ribbon too.

Crafting with Cristina Challenge #15- Color Challenge

Crafting with Cristina Challenge #15
Create a Project using the colors Black White and Grey ONLY.

 Supplies
Making Memories- Wedding Designer paper pad
PaperTrey Ink- Fillable Frames #4 Stamp Set
PaperTrey Ink- Die
Martha Stewart Glitter- Crystal Fine
Pop Dots

Embroidery Floss

I have a funny story about the card. My daughter wanted to make cookies so she could put sprinkles on top. So I told her, lets make a card & put glitter on top. So I had to glitter around the frame for my daughter. She is 3 1/2 and has already taken over my crafting table. Yesterday I had to move to a different table to work on my projects.

I am so excited....I will be a guest designer for Crafting with Cristina in February.
So look for more projects to come.

My Pink Stamper - Blog Hop

This blog hop begins at My Pink Stamper
If you are coming from Craft Junkie Too, then you are in the right place.

I am so excited to be on the My Pink Stamper Design Team. I just wanted to share a bit about myself before I share my project with you. My name is Angela. I have been married to my amazing husband for 6 years and we have 2 little princess'. My oldest loves making cards and crafting with me. I have my own Simple Creations business where I sell my handmade cards and other creations to local people I know. I recently sold some of my creations to a local boutique. I co-lead a scrapbooking group that meets once a month. My husband and I are Assistant Pastors at our church. I run our cafe for our young adult community. So I am already living out many of my dreams. Being on this design team is one of them.

I hope you enjoy this mail box and cute little valentine I made to go along with it.

The Mail Box was cut from Love Struck 2010 Cartridge at 11.5". I covered it with a pattern paper & attached the flag with a brad. Be sure to cover it & attach the brad before gluing together.
The card was also cut from Love Struck 2010 Cartridge.  I welded 2 hearts together on my gypsy at 3" each to create the white base of the card. The blackout & top layer of the card are from the 6th button on Love Struck 2010 Cartridge. I glued those together & popped it up to add some dimension.  The butterfly's are the base of button 5 on Live Simply Cartridge. They are cut at .5" each. I bent the wings up & used stickles on the torso. The sentiment, Something Special is from My Pink Stamper's Family & Friend's Stamp Set. Of all the stamps sets I have I use this one the most. This card turned out really small but I made it to fit inside the mail box. It is a beautiful card that can be made larger & given to someone to tell them how special they are.

From here hop to Kassidy's Blog. If you would like to join in our blog hop, start at the beginning & write down the key words from each blog to find out what the challenge is. There are 2 key words you will want to write down from my blog: MAKE A.

Winter Warmies FCCB Challenge #42

Winter Warmies FCCB Challenge #42
Use some type of winter clothing/accessory on the project. At first I wasn't sure what I wanted to make & then I thought of this cute little beaver with the scarf. Then I wanted to make a card using the Smiley Cards. So this is what I designed.

The card base is from Smiley Cards. The outside layer is cut at 3.5" & the inside layer is cut at 3.25". Then I cut the tab off the inside layer. The patterned background was cut with Plantin SchoolBook at 4". I am not sure what size the blue layer to write on was. The beaver was cut from Winter Frolic at 2". Then I inked it & made details with a glitter gel pen. The Sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink -Daily Designs Sentiments. I hope you enjoyed this unique card design.
Join us at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog (FCCB) and post your own Winter Warmie. Just include at least one Cricut cut & use some type of winter clothing or accessory on your project.

Pink Designer

Design Team
I am so excited to announce that I am a PINK DESIGNER! I had so much fun meeting and helping Robyn aka My Pink Stamper with her workshop at CHA this past summer. She inspires so many to create. She has her own DVD's and Stamps that are amazing quality. You can check out her products HERE. I look forward to creating more Simple Creations with MPS products.
Robyn actually hand picked me to be on her design team. I am so honored! I was in shock when she sent me an email asking if I would like to. I know that this year is going to be a year of alot of dreams come true. I look forward to what is ahead.
If you submitted a project for this Design Team, please don't be discouraged but keep creating & developing your talent. I tried out for many design teams, putting alot of work into it & was so disapointed when I didn't make it. But just keep trying!

On another note:
I went to Michael's today & they have Cricut Carts on sale for $9.99. They are older ones that they need to get rid of so they can make room for new ones. I got Sweet Treats. Defiantly worth checking out.
