Happy Easter

Hope everyone is having a blessed day with friends and family. We had and amazing time of Celebrating Jesus' Resurection at church today. It was so full and not an empty seat in the place.
I love celebrating what Easter is really about....Jesus dying on the cross and raising 3 days later so that we could have hope for our future.
The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10 NLT "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved."
If you aren't sure about you future and have questions, email me. I would love to share with u who my Savior is.

My Pink Stamper Design Team Post - April

 Wedding Themed: Cake Box
Put candy or other yummy goodies inside the box to thank your guests for attending. Make a large cake by putting many cake boxes together. These could even be the center piece on the table.

The ribbon is for looks but also to hold the box closed. This picture shows how the cake box is put together.

How To Make:
Cake Box (button #45) -  Tags, Bags, Boxes & More Cricut Cartridge - 8"
Hearts (button #27-blackout) - Tags, Bags, Boxes & More Cricut Cartridge - 1.25" (cut 2x)

First cut out the cake box.  Then score the lines and test fold it to make sure the point will fold right. If you want to stamp the sentiment directly on the box then do it before it is glued together. I tried to stamp it on the box and that was to late so I had to stamp on another paper and then glue that down. Cut 2 hearts, pop up, and adhere. Glue the box togeher except for the square end. Use adhesive (tape runner) on the ribbon that will go on the 2 sides on the box. But don't let any tape go on the end or your guests won't get the box open. I found it helped to adhere the ribbon to the box because it would stay in place and not slide around. Insert your candy or yummy goodies into the box. Tie a beautiful bow to keep the box closed. And you have a simple but beautiful cake box. Change the stamp and decorations to make it work for any type of party favor. This project was alot of fun to make and I love how it turned out.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Well...this was not the original project I made for this post. We were suppose to make a party favor using any theme. I found a beautiful box with a cake on it and I loved the colors, but I just didn't love the finished project. Some projects you will fall in love with and other's just aren't your favorite. I still want to share it with you.

These are front and back views.
How To Make:
Cake Favor Box - Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge - 3.75"
button #16 Party Favor Function
You can fit 2 boxes - Fit to page on 12x12 paper
 Cake - blackout function - 3.75"
Cake Icing - 3.75"

Gift Bag & Card inspired by Baby Clothes

Gift Bag & Card
I have a baby shower this weekend. The set of clothing was so cute that I wanted to make a gift bag and card to match. So many times I look at the color combo's or patterns in kids clothes and think, "that would make such a great card." Well, I finally made something with clothing inspiration.

The Card was inspired by this Monkey bib.
The Gift Bag was inspired by the Lion onesie.

Number Tent Cards

I made these Number Tent Cards for the Young Adult Cafe that I run on Wednesday nights. We are changing the menu from soup to pannini's. Knowing that it will take longer for us to make the sandwiches, I made these Cards so the customer can put one on their table and we keep the other number in the cafe with their food as it is made. Then we can serve the food to the correct person. I made 2 cards for each number (not shown in picture). These were really simple to make. I know most of you don't have a need for this project but....you could make:
  • table numbers for a shower
  • place cards
  • label the food or drinks at a party
...and the list goes on. Be creative and get ideas from my project.

How I made it:
White Cardstock: cut 2 1/2" x 6", score at 3"
Numbers: Cupcake Cricut Lite Cartridge cut at 2"

Then I am going to laminate them so they stay clean and last a long time.

Hope you enjoyed another Simple Creation. I love reading your comments. Don't forget I have a give away going on until Thursday. Go to my Pinkalicious Blog Hop post HERE and leave a comment there for a chance to win a My Pink Stamper - Music Speaks stamp set.

Pinkalicious Blog Hop - April

Girl 1st Brithday Card

Welcome to our April Pinkalicious Blog Hop. It begins with Robyn at My Pink Stamper. If you are coming from Courtney from Court's Crafts, then you are in the right place.

The theme for this Pinkalicious Blog Hop is: Birthday. I was clueless about what I should make, until....I realized I have 2 birthday parties we are going to this week. Duh! I need cards for those. So I made this cute little card for our little friend, Haley, who is turning 1. The candle on an Action Wobble, so it bounces all around.
The stamp set I used is Fabulous Phrases by My Pink Stamper. This is one of my favorite stamp sets because it is perfect for cards. There is a stamp for every occasion on it and they are all on one line that can go across the width of a card.
To view all of My Pink Stamper's products and retailers click HERE.

Here is how I made the Birthday Card:
One Banner - Graphically Speaking Cricut Cartridge - 1.35"
Candle - Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge - 5"
Haley - Once Upon A Princess - 0.86"
Most of the paper is Core'dination

How about a GIVEAWAY?

This is My Pink Stamper's Music Speaks stamp set. It has many great sayings on it. Leave me only one comment at the end of this post, telling me your favorite type of card or craft project to give to friends and family. I will pick a winner using Random.org on Thursday. Video: 4x6 Notebook with Pen

I love making Post-it Note holders with pens. Recently I have made notebook holders with pens and I love how they turned out. Everyone I share them with, loves these notebooks too. So I wanted to share them with you also. I made a video that shows in detailed how to create it. Scroll down past the video to see 3 different styles with measurements of how to make them.

These amazing Digi Stamps are from Lori Boyd. They were so much fun to color with Copic Markers. Then I cut them out and glued them down with Scotch Quick Dry adhesive. Then I accented them with Glossy Accents.
Boy: Puddle Jumper Cole
Girl: Puddle Jumper Gabbi
Check out more of her Digi Stamps HERE.

Post-it Note Holder w/ Pen
Post-it: 3" x 3"
Cover: 7 3/8" x 3 1/4"
Score: 3 1/8", 3 1/2", 3 7/8"

4" x 6" Notebook w/ Pen (Video)
Sketchbook: 4"x6" (from Staples)
Cover: 9 5/8" x 6 1/8"
Score:  5", 4 1/2", 4 1/8"
Cut 2 slits 1" apart to hold R.S.V.P style pen (from Staples)
Score every 1/8" along pen opening to help it bend evenly.
Note: the score marks are 3/8" and 1/2" to make a larger opening for the larger pen. If using a MINI Pen score 3/8" and 3/8" apart and trim off extra in length. These numbers are just guides to give you an idea of how to make it.

Notepad Cover w/ Pen
Notepad size: 7 1/2" x 3 1/2" (found in most dollar sections with magnet on back, some sizes will be different)
Cover: 8 3/8" x 7 5/8"

Notebook with Pen

I love making Post-It note holders with pens and I never thought to make notebook covers until I saw a post that by blogging friend, Marianne from, Paper or Frabric Crafter. These notebooks are the magnetic one's you can find in the dollar sections. I decorated the outsides to go with the theme of the paper. The notebooks can be different sizes but these are the cover instructions for these. I usually make the cover with a heavy card stock, like Papertrey Ink, so that it is durable.
Notebook size: 3 1/2" x 7 1/2"
Cover size: 7 5/8" x 8 3/8"
Score cover at: 3 5/8",  4",  4 3/8",  4 3/4"
Cut middle section about 1" apart to hold pen.
When using mini pens like these the score marks are 3/8" apart. Knowing that helps alter  the measurements for other size notebooks.
