Photo CD Case

Wedding Photo CD Case
I have a friend who is an amazing photographer. She is just getting started and she is teaching her self. Her Vintage style is simply amazing. You can check her Facebook or Website. She just started shooting for Weddings and her style is so unique. She wanted to give her customers their photo CD in a nice case. She found something similar to this CD Case on Etsy and wanted to know if I could make it for her. So this is what I came up with.

Supplies
Solid Paper: Black Cardstock, White Cardstock
Pattern Paper: GCD Studios - Cosette Collection - Simplicite
Ribbon - Satin - Mauve 5/8" from Michaels - cut 2 1/2' & 8" pieces
Cricut Cartridge: Sweethearts - Mr. & Mrs. - Shift Button #32 - Cut 3"
Adhesives: Score Tape, ATG, Scotch Quick Dry
Ink: Color Box Fluid Chalk Inkpad - Charcoal
Circle Cutting Tool - Creative Memories Custom Cutting System - Red Blade
Cardboard: from the back of my paper packs

Instructions
Base- cut black cardstock - 6" x 12"
Score base at 6"
CD folder- cut black cardstock - 5 3/4" x 5"
Cut circle out of CD folder with a Circle Cutter. Line up the bottom of the circle about 3 1/2" from the bottom of the CD folder and center it, then cut. Adhere the CD folder on the inside of the base with Score Tape around the 3 straight sides, as close to the edge as possible.
Cover - Cut from pattern paper - 5 3/4" x 11 3/4"
Fold in half.
Cut cardboard slightly smaller than the cover so it wont show.
Fold in half and crease with a bone folder.
Adhere Cardboard to Cover with ATG or strong adhesive.
Put Score Tape on the back of the 8" Ribbon and adhere to outside fold of the cover. Fold ends of ribbon on the inside.
Put ATG or strong adhesive on the base of the card across the length of the middle section but don't go all the way to the edge. Center long piece of ribbon in the middle of the base, length wise. Then I put a small strip of Score Tape over the ribbon about an 1" in from each side of the base to reinforce it.
Adhere the cover and base using ATG or strong adhesive.
Cut white cardstock - 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
Ink the edges with the Charcol Ink
Cut the Mr. & Mrs. on the Cricut
Adhere the cut out with Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
Adhere White Cardstock to front with ATG or strong adhesive.
I know that was alot of detailed instructions so if you have any questions feel free to ask.
I love how elegant this project turned out. By changing the type of pattern paper and ribbon it could be changed to fit anything theme.

Sorry I haven't been posting alot lately. I had to return my computer to get fixed so I won't have it for 2-4 weeks. So I will post from my husband's computer as I get a chance. I have so many projects I want to share with you. So more to come.

Ariels 1st day of Preschool

My oldest daughter went to her first day of Preschool. She loved it and did great. She looked so cute in her uniform. She has only a 1/2 day of Preschool and I even got 2 batches of Apple Butter in the crock pots before I had to pick her up. Since we only live a couple blocks from the school, we will walk as much as we can, while the weather in nice.

Reading time when they get there

She's so small next to all the big boys

Having fun with her sister on the school playground
For Preschool they have a packet of homework they send home for the whole month. Really it isn't very much but they work on it and turn it in at the end of the month. It is sent home in a folder that has to stay in her backpack. So I wanted to make a homework folder to keep it in at home. I wasn't able to find any good homework cuts on my Circut Cartridges that I have so I decided to stamp on the folder.
I used My Pink Stamper's Font-abulous Stamp Set and it worked perfect. I'm finding so many useful projects for this stamp set.

Pinkalicious Blog Hop - School Album

First Day of School - Album

Welcome to the Pinkalicious Blog Hop. This is where all the My Pink Stamper Designers get to show off our projects using My Pink Stamper High Quality Photo Polymer Stamps. If you are just starting to Hop, then go back to the beginning at Robyn (My Pink Stamper). If you have Hopped here from Alex (You Had Me At Craft) then you are in the right place.

We were challenged to make a 3D project using the Cricut and My Pink Stamper's School Day's Stamp Set.

My oldest daughter starts Preschool next week. So I wanted to make a Mini Album with pictures from her 1st day of school. Mini Albums are fun because they are Quick & Simple. To make the base of the 6"x6" Album, I used 2 sheets of 12"x12" black cardstock. Cut each sheet in half. That gives you 4 - 6"x12" pages. Then score each page at 6". Fold all the pages in half on the score line. Then overlap the pages and adhere them together. Then you will have an accordion style album that can sit up on a table to show off the beautiful pictures.

 The whole album

Backpack - Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge - Button #38 - cut 2.5"

Apple - Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge - Button #37 - cut 2"
Ariel - handwritten by my 4 year old

Scissors - Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge - Shift Button #27 - cut 2.75"

Pictures of it standing up

Finding a nice paper line with great patterns and colors, definitely makes making an album easy. I used We R Memory Keepers - White Out Collection - Nonsense - 12 x 12 Double Sided Paper. I love how this album turned out and I can't wait to take the pictures and put them in.

Thank you for checking out my project and I hope I inspired you with this Simple Creation. The next stop on the Hop is
Renee (RockinRenee). If you lose your place along the way, see the Blog Hop Order is below.

Christmas Card -Embossing & Copics

I was playing around with these Nature's Reflection-Evergreen Tree stamps that I rented from Raisin Boat. I learned a fun technique by just trying something different.

First, I stamped the trees with Versa Mark Watermark Ink, then poured White Embossing Powder on it. Then, I heated it with a heat tool. Then, I took about 5 green Copic Markers and made dots all over the trees. Then, I used the heat tool on the trees again and that absorbed the Copic ink into the White Embossing Powder. While it was still hot, I sprinkled Stampendous-Crystal Snow-White on the trees. Then I heated it up again to set everything. You can't really tell in the picture but the Crystal Snow made the trees Sparkle. I did the same technique with the snowy rocks.
Then, I embossed the Sentiment from My Pink Stamper's-Christmas Wishes Stamp Set. I also tied PaperTrey Ink twine around the card. I loved how it turned out.

Supplies
Paper - PaperTrey Ink
Ink - Versa Mark - Watermark
Embossing Powder - Stampendous - White
Glitter - Stampendous - Crystal Snow - White Ultra Fine
