Wise Men Still Seek Him

Wise Men Still Seek Him

Here is a Christmas Card I made with Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge an a stamp that someone gave me. I embossed the cream background with a cuttlebug embossing folder to give it some depth. I cut out the Shepherd at 2.5" but I cut off the sheep since it would not fit on this card. Baby Jesus and the star was cut at 1.04". I used stardust Stickles on the star and around baby Jesus. I used a sparkly orange gel pen around the straw and on the orange star to make it shimmer. The faces were from Peachy Keen Snow Cutie Face Stamps. I like how this card turned out and it was fun putting all the different cuts together. Lay them out first to figure out where you need to glue them. I had to peel mine apart several times until I got it right.

Christmas/Birthday Card

Christmas/Birthday Card
I make cards and sell them. Someone wanted a custom card made for a relative who has a birthday on Christmas. So this is what I came up with using Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge and My Pink Stamper Family and Friends Stamp. I thought it turned out really cute.

Remember to Vote

Remember to Vote

This was created for Cristina's Companion Challenge #9.
I had so much fun hanging out with Cristina and others last night on her first Ustream Class. She did an amazing job on a layout. So I checked out her blog and found her Companion Challenges. This Challenge was to create an  Election Day, Voter Reminder Card, using the colors red white and blue, somewhere in the project.

I started by creating the date and welding it. I had user friendly sizes until I found the frame and then adjusted the date to fit in the frame. Here are the details of how I made the card.

Frame Stamp and Cricut Cut

Frame Stamp and Cricut Cut

I want to share something special with you that I figured out. I have the PaperTreyInk Fillable Frames #4 stamp set. I wanted the frame cut out & I didn't want to do it by hand and I don't have a punch. I found this cut on Accent Essential Cricut Cartridge. I tried cutting it a few times and finally decided this was the best cut: W-3.44, H-2.04" in the shadow feature. I changed this image on my gypsy by unlocking the width and height button and adjusted the size to what I wanted. If you have any questions please email me. As always I love comments.

Snowmen- PKS Snow Cuties

Snowmen
I won the Snow Cutie Face- Peachy Keen Stamps from Kim at http://www.paperpunchaddiction.com/ I just got them in the mail yesterday, so I couldn't wait to try them out. I cut out several different snowmen. They were all cut at 3" and I used chalk on the cheeks. I love how they turned out and I can't wait to make more projects with them. I love snowmen. Please email me if you have any questions.

My Craft Corner

My Craft Corner

I get so inspired my others craft rooms that I wanted to show you where I make all my projects. I have a corner of our basement. I love having my own area to craft and I can leave my supplies out. I am able to do so much crafting and card making. I find myself at in my crafting corner at least 3-4 times a week. The main time I get to craft is when my girls are napping. This is the cleanest my corner has ever looked. It won't be like that for long because I have so many projects to work on.

Sorry if it is hard to understand me in the video. I was just getting over a cold.

This morning my oldest daughter noticed the black shelf on the wall and she was so excited. My husband just hung it last night before I shot my video. My oldest daughter is 3 and she is my crafting buddy and shares in all my excitement. I wish I had a video of her when she gasped in awe, when she saw the shelf on the wall.

I hope you enjoy this video and get inspired by something you can do with your crafting area or a new way to store your supplies.

I Won!

I can't believe I won!

I just wanted to share my excitement with my fellow bloggers. I have been creating projects for challenges and leaving comments for about 1 1/2 years and I finally won something. I even posted on my facebook this week...do you ever want to say..."Pick Me" "Pick Me" ?
So I want to encourage you to NEVER GIVE UP. Keep trying and someday you will win too. That can be applied to many areas in life.
My next step is to be accepted on a design team. I feel like I have applied for so many and I get discourage when I don't get accepted. I even told my husband that I wasn't sure if I wanted to apply for anymore because it is alot of work to find out I wasn't chosen. So to myself and all of you I want to say NEVER GIVE UP.

So here is what I won.
Snow Cutie Faces from Peachy Keen Stamps. I want to thank Kim for sharing her cute Snowman card for the PKS blog hop. Thank you for the chance to win this stamp set. I can't wait to use it.

Girl Birthday Card

Girl Birthday Card

This is a cute card for a young girl. I made it using the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge. It is becoming my go to Cartridge for cards. Everyone likes animals. The following are the cuts I made:
Butterfly 2" - cut shadow and all layers
Turtle 1.5" - cut shadow and all layers
Grass 2" (Turtle Accessory)
The felted ric rac was from American Crafts. I got mine from Big Lots for $
The Stamp is from My Pink Stampers - Family and Friends set.

I filled in the butterfly and turtle with this glitter glue. I bought it today from Hobby Lobby. It was very similar than Stickles but it is a much bigger bottle. My Stickles is .5 fl oz and this Glitter Glue is 1.8 fl oz. The normal price for it was $2.99 but it was on sale for 50% off so I only paid $1.50 for more than 3 times the amount of the Stickles. Don't get me wrong. I love my Stickles and use them on everything but I wanted to try this product & thought I would share it with you. I also found these really small bells I thought I could put on cards. They were normally $1.99 for 48 bells but they were on sale for 50% off so they were only $1. Both of these items I found in the Christmas Decoration section at Hobby Lobby.

Autumn Card

Autumn Card
Since today was "World Card Making Day" I wanted to try make at least one card. We were gone most the day so I just got started once my girls went to bed. This card came together quickly and was alot of fun. I am not really into Halloween but I love Fall, however, I don't think I have ever made a Fall card. I normally focus on Christmas or other occasion cards. So here is what I came up with. I will probably turn it into a birthday card for my mom because it is this month.

This card was made completely from Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge. The pumpkin was cut twice at 3". On the green layer I hid some of the face cuts on my Gypsy. The tree was cut at 3" also. Autumn was cut at 1". I inked everything with a dark brown Color Box Cat's Eye ink pad. It even made some shading on the tree. I enhanced some of the details with a brown glitter pen. I know the leaves are a little big for the size of tree I have but I really like them & I haven't used them on anything yet. I got the leaves from one of the craft stores a long time ago. But there are so many leaves found on different cartridges. Search "Leaf". I popped up the leaves and pumpkin to give it added dimension.
