A Gift For You

I made this for My Pink Stamper http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ challenge.
Challenge: Make a Winter card, scrapbook page, or other craft item with your Cricut and share it here on the Inlinz link. Everyone who enters one project will be in the drawing to win my NEW Winter Punnies stamp set! This project needs to be started AFTER I post this. Please do not post something that you have made previously. That is why we call it a challenge. LOL! I will close this challenge on Wednesday at 7:59 AM and announce the winner shortly thereafter. Good luck everyone!!

This week was my birthday so I went shopping at Joann Fabrics today! Lots of fun, until I ran out of money...but I got some great things. I got Summer Vacation and Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridges. I also got some more Cricut Mats & DCWV-The Green Stack. The background paper from that paper stack. It has great colors and cute animals like Create A Critter Cartridge has. Enough about my shopping trip & here is the recipe.

A Gift For You
Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge
DCWV-The Green Stack Paper and scraps
Brown Ribbon
Brown Gel Pen
Star Dust-Stickles
Chestnut Roan-Color Box Ink (around trees)
Quick Stik- QuicKutz (helpful with all the little pieces)
Pop Dots

Tree Border - pg 44    cut 5.5" fit to length or 2"
Cut off the 2 left trees for the girl to stand on the snow
Color the tree trunks with the brown pen & ink the edges of the trees

Girl - pg 43      cut 2.5"
There are a lot of little pieces so I used the Quick Stik. It has a stick clay type time so I can pick it up and place it where I want to.
Some of the cuts had two colors in it. I didn't want to cut them out twice so I designed it on my Gypsy to see exactly where the paper needed to go on the mat.
Glue the coat on before the face. I didn't & I had to peel mine up.

Phrase - A Gift For You  pg 43    cut 2"

I can't wait to make more cards with Winter Frolic. It will be great for Christmas Cards. It has lots of great winter cuts and phrases, even tags. Oh, by the way. I didn't win the Cricut Imagine with my cartridge. The last chance to win the imagine is 8/31. Check out http://www.cricut.com/ for more details.

If you thought you might win something when you read the title of my post, well....when I reach 25 followers I will be giving away something. So just a few more to go. Oh, and I love getting comments on my posts. I look everyday just to see how many people have viewed or commented on my blog. Yes it makes me feel special. I love sharing my designs with you. Thank you for looking.

Anniversary Book

Today is our 6th Anniversary. I made my husband an accordion book full of our pictures & family pictures. It is neat to see how we have grown as a family over the years. He LOVED it! That made all the time & work I put into it, worth it. I love how it turned out.

Some of the supplies I use to make it:
Paper: Making Memories Wedding 8x8 paper pad

Cricut Cartridges:
"Just Because" Cards
Create A Critter
Graphically Speaking

Stamps Used:
My Pink Stamper - Family & Friends

Directions:
To make the core of the album, I cut 12x12" black paper in half. Then folded that in half to make 2-6x6" squares. Then I glued a lot of them together to create the accordion. Then I cut 5 3/4" in squares for the background papers. Then embellished with pictures, stamps, and cricut cuts.

Let me know what you think. I love comments. Even share it with your  friends. I would like to get more followers. When I reach 25 followers I will have a give away.

Tag Journal & 1st birthday card

Tag Journal

I made both of these tag journal's for gifts. Once for a baby shower & the other for a 1st birthday.
The insides are the same but the covers are different.
I used paper from K&Company Lion Sleeps 12x12 Paper Pad
I bound it with 1" book rings

All the tags are white with brown ribbon stapled to it. I left them plain so they could put a picture or write something on it.

Here is the recipe for the tag journal.
Cricut Cartridges Used:
Tags, Bags, Boxes & More:
6 - Tag - 5.65"
6 - Folders- 11.35"
2 - Covers - 11.35"
This is the folder & on my gypsy I moved the half the of the folder off my mat that I didn't need. So I only cut half the folder to make a cover. If you don't have a gypsy just cut the folder out & then cut the part off that you need for the cover.

Baby Cover:
Cricut Cartridges Used:
Plantin SchoolBook:
Baby- 1.25"
I cut it regular & then with the shadow feature also.

Quinn Cover:
Cricut Cartridges Used:
Simply Sweet:
Quinn -1.25" Blocked & Blackout Features
Graphically Speaking:
Circle- 3.15"
To make a 1/2 circle I moved it on my gypsy 1/2 off the mat so it would cut it the way I wanted.

This is a card that I made to go with Quinn's Tag Journal.
Card Recipe:
Cricut Cartridges Used:
Graphically Speaking:
number 1 collage - 1.37"
Simply Sweet:
Gift Box - 2.18" Shift & Gift Box Shadow - 2.08" Shift Shadow
Alphalicious:
1 -  1.04" Short Stack Shadow Feature

I know there are alot of instructions for this project but it is alot of fun & a great gift. Once you make one then it becomes alot easier.

Cow's It Going?

My Pink Stamper just introduced her design time for the 2nd term with projects they made.
My Pink Stamper Challenge: Make something with a Critter or Animal Theme.
Since I don't own the Create A Critter Cartridge yet....I made my card using Paper Doll Dress Up. The Cow & Fence are Accessories to the Cowboy Doll.
Recipe:
Cricut Cartridges-
Paper Doll Dress Up:
fence- 2.3"
cow- 2.5"
Wild Card:
sun-3"
Supplies: Martha Stewart Opaque Markers- pink & white
Martha Stewart-ink melon (around the sun)
Pop up dots- cut in half for sun
My Pink Stamper Stamps- More Punny-licious
Peachy Keen Stamps- Basic Paper Doll Faces (eyes)
Glitter Glue-crystal (eyes & lips)
Distress Ink-tea dye (sponged on tan paper)

This cow is just one cut & doesn't have any layers so I cut it out in pink, white, and brown & made my own layers. Then I dressed it up with pink toes, ears, and lips. Accented with glitter glue & opaque markers. I didn't put the cow completely in the fence so all the details would show. The cow is poking it's head out of the fence.

Check out her lipgloss!

I asked my 1 1/2 yr old if she liked my cow & she said, "Moooooooooooooooo." I took that as a yes. This was a fun card to make & I hope to get the Create A Critter Cartridge to make more critter cards & layouts.
I also enjoyed using MPS stamps. This is the first time I got to use them.

Awesome time at CHA

CHA Chicago 2010
This is Karlee, Me & Robyn.
When I walked into the Convention Center I felt like I was dreaming. That many scrapbooking & crafting booths in one place! I was surrounded by people who had the same interests & passions as I do. Then I walked up to My Pink Stamper's booth & suddenly I couldn't speak. I really thought I was dreaming then.
It was awesome to meet Robyn & Karlee. I love following their blogs:
Then to be able to help with Robyn's worshops was so much fun!
75 people & 25 Cricut Expression Machines in one room!
Custom Crops was amazing at providing all the supplies we needed for the workshop. Cricut Machines, Cartridges, Mats, Adhesive & much more. Check out their website.
www.customcrops.com

Robyn did an amazing job of teaching the projects, as always.

These were the amazing ladies I got to help with during the workshop.

Such a fun weekend & I met a lot of great people.
Now my creative juices are flowing & I want to create so many things.
