Birthday Gift - Notebooks

Notebooks

I have a family birthday party to go to this month for 1yr old & 3yr old boys. The parents have asked for money to get a playground but I still wanted to give something for the boys to open. So I made these notebooks. They can be used for many different things. Some options are: A journal the mom can write in, a notebook the boys can draw or work on ABC's in, it could even be used as a scrapbook for pictures and memorabilia. The ideas are endless.

Supplies

4"x6" index cards (lined on one side if they want to write on them)
1" metal book rings
Paper

Baby Announcement

Baby Announcement Tag

No I am not pregnant.
I have a friend who is pregnant and having a photo shoot. So she asked me to make this tag. She will tie it around her tummy with a black ribbon. She doesn't know what she will be having so she wanted to keep it black and white.

Supplies and Instructions

Cricut Cartridges Used:
Cricut Craft Room Basics
Tag - Button #40 - cut 3 times
White(back) - w-4.21 x h-6.76
Black(center) - w-4.21 x h-6.76
White(front with letters cut out) - w-3.66 x h-6
Since there were alot of letters, I created this on my gypsy and used the background. Instead of glueing each letter, I just glued the centers of the letters. I also hid the circle in each tag, then punched one at the end.
Close to my Heart - Art Philosophy
DONT OPEN - cut .69"
until - cut .84"
Oct 2012 - cut .96"

I glued all the layers together then finished it off with a brad.

Nautical Boy - Baby Shower Invitation

Baby Shower Invitation

Nautical Boy Theme

I had a customer request Baby Shower Invitation Samples. They don't know what they will be having yet but the Boy Invitaion was suppose to have a Nautical Boy Theme. So this is what I came up with. The center of the card is velum that I will print the Shower invitation on. It is 1/4" of and 8 1/2" x 11" size, so that it will be easy to print and cut.

Pinkalicious Blog Hop - Stamp Release

Have you heard...We've Mooved - Swing Card

Welcome to the Pinkalicious Blog Hop. To start at the beginning go to www.mypinkstamper.com
If you are coming from Chelle then you are right on track.

This is a fun Swing card I made using the Moo-ey Doodle Kit
It is called Swing card because the center of it swings back and forth to show each side.
I love how I made it into a card to inform people of a change of address. The inside there is enough room to put the address.

Supplies used are from the....

This is what will come in the Moo-ey Doodles Kit
It is exclusively sold at Shop Pumpkin Spice. To purchase your own kit click HERE.
I also used the Red & Yellow paper from the Yankee Doodles Kit.

Above is a diagram I created to see where to cut and score when making a swing card.
Feel free to copy & print this for your own personal use. If copying it for your blog please state the source and don't claim it as your own. I found a great Swing Card tutorial from Michelle's Rubber Room and got the details for my diagram from her. I also created a very detailed video that I made for another Swing Card I made. To see my other card and video click HERE.

Instructions & Supplies
Stamps: My Pink Stamper - Moo-ey Doodles
Pro Markers
Ink: My Pink Stamper - Texas Chocolate
Paper: from Moo-ey Doodles & Yankee Doodles Kits at Pumpkin Spice Shop
Foam Adhesive

Card Base: 5" x7"
Orange and Red Paper: 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Score: 2 3/4" and 4 1/4"
Draw guidelines with pencil and rule to know where to cut.
Then use an exacto knife and ruler to make the cuts.
Do not cut past the score lines.
OR
I like to score and then put the paper in my trimmer. Then line it up at 1" or 1 1/2" and then start my blade in 1" or 1 1/2" and stop where it's suppose to. I use the measurements on my trimmer to know when to start and stop cutting with the blade. Make sure to stop the blade and don't cut all the way through. Just see the diagram above when cutting and scoring.

Now on to the blog hop...
Next hop to Andrea to see another great project created with the Moo-ey Doodle Kit.

Coupon Organizer

A great way to organize your coupons by categories (that you decide) and not take up too much room in your purse. Of course I had to make it look super fun too.
I've tried using the accordion coupon holders but they are just too big that I don't like to keep them in my purse. So I designed this one since it is a lot thinner I will always have it with me.
Of course this method is only for the occasional couponer since it will only hold so many.

Supplies & Instructions

Photo Envelope
Start with a Photo Envelope. It is large enough to hold 4x6 photos. Perfect for holding 4x6 index cards that will be the dividers. I tucked the flap in the envelope to give extra support and so it wouldn't be in the way.

 4x6 index cards
Then use 4x6 index cards (or cut paper 4x6) for as many dividers you want to separate your coupons into categories.

TABS
Then I had some punch out embellishments I bought at Big Lots a while ago. On the back it had a bunch of tabs. So I used those for the tabs on my dividers. If you don't have any and want to save money. Just cut rectangles and fold them in half. Adhere them to stick up on the top and you have homemade tabs.

Pattern Paper
I covered the outside of the envelope with a thick pattern paper. To decorate it but also to make it pretty. on the front I even folded it down about 1" so make it stronger. It was a double sided pattern paper so, that is where the orange color came from.
Adhesive
Use your favorite adhesive to glue everything together. This is my ATG gun. It is my favorite tape adhesive I like to use. But use what you have.
Ribbon
I tied ribbon around it to help hold it all together and it also dresses it up. I didn't put a bunch of embellishments on the outside because they would just get messed up in my purse.

My Pink Stamper Design Team - Yankee Doodle Post

4th of July Banner

Welcome to the My Pink Stamper's Design Team's June Post.

Using My Pink Stamper
Yankee Doodle Stamp Set
To Purchase the Yankee Doodle Kit from Shop Pumpkin Spice, click HERE.

Supplies and Instructions
Yankee Doodle Kit: from Shop Pumpkin Spice - includes paper, markers, ink, stamps, & more
3 Coaster's from PaperTrey Ink
You could also cut thick cardboard (cereal boxes) & cover with paper, then round the corners.
Ribbon: Red Poka Dot from Michael's
Brads
Foam Squares
Star: cut using a Cricut Expression Machine at 3" (stars can be found on many Cartridges)

Cover Coster with tan paper. I used Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive. Then turned it over and trimmed with an exacto knife. Then sand edges to make smooth. Adhere stars. Images are stamped with My Pink Stamper Serendipity Skies Ink and colored with Pro Markers. Then cut out images and adhere with foam adhesive. Punch holes and put brads on. I did 2 on the top and 1 on the bottom because of how the star is shaped. Then I had to figure out how to thread the ribbon. See the picture how I taped it to the back of the coasters. Stamp sayings, cut out, and adhere. Hang as a decoration.
