Mother's Day Cards

Here are a couple different versions of a mother's day card I made. I originally stamped the flower in brown & it didn't show up as much as I wanted so I drew over it with a metalic pen.

Cricut: Punctuation

So I was having a hard time finding periods in the cricut font cartridges. I finally found a period last night! The Gypsy Font Cartridge has alot of punctuation that isn't on alot of the other font cartridges. However the Gypsy Font is only found on the Gypsy Machine.
If you can find a period on another cartridge please leave a comment.
The period on the Gypsy Font looks like a large circle but when placed on the mat it appears the size of a normal period.

Girls Butterfly Room

Just found out the project I did in the girls room will be featured in "MyPinkStamper" Galley. So excited!
Recipe:

Use the following Cricut Cartridges to cut shapes from vinyl.
Simply Sweet-Butterfly 10"
Graphically Speaking-Swirl 24" mat, fit to page
Alphalicious (short stack shadow)-Name Font 5"
Plantin SchoolBook-Heart 2"
Simply Sweet-Flowers 3" & 2"

12x12 and 12x24 mat

Settings on Cricut used to cut vinyl:
Speed 3-med
Pressure 3-med
Blade 6
Bubble Gum- Oh My Craft Vinyl
Sweet Lilac- Oh My Craft Vinyl
Hot Pink- Oh My Craft Vinyl
Lucky Green- Oh My Craft Vinyl
Chocolate- Provo Craft Vinyl
Transfer Tape- Provo Craft
Designed project with Gyspy (optional)
Directions:
This project uses a lot of cartridges. If you don't have all of them, many similar images can be found on other cartridges. In the recipe I included the size I cut out each image in inches. For the font I chose the short stack shadow function on the Alphalicious cartridge so that the font would be bold enough to read on the wall.

Cut out each image in the size & color of vinyl you choose.

Cut off good vinyl that may be used for other projects.

Remove any negative vinyl (vinyl around image that won't be used).

Cut transfer tape a little larger than your cut images.

Yudu Project

My dad came this weekend & we both learned how to use his Yudu. Through trial & lots of error...we ended up with a nice shirt.

So a couple things we learned about using the Yudu.
Read the manuel that comes with it! Don't use too much water when setting the emulsion and make sure everything gets dry. Usually takes longer than you think it will. Be patient.

A couple of my favorite projects

Getting Started

Just getting started and setting up my blog.
I hope to upload pictures of projects that I have done. I am currently looking for an online store front that I might sell my PaperCrafts at. Through this blog I want to be a resource for scrapbookers & paper crafters. Capture the benifit of, cherishing memories through scrapbooking, and making impersonal cards more personal by hand crafting them.
