Christmas Good Bags

After seeing Robyn - My Pink Stamper post her Christmas Goodie bags for her kids, I realized I should make some for my daughter.  My oldest is in Preschool, so this is the first year I've gotten to make some. This week, I helped at her school when they made Gingerbread houses. After realizing how much sugar they were going to have this week, I tried to come up with a different type of goodie bag (with less sugar).

So my goodie bags included a Christmas Pencil and pieces for them to make a Christmas Photo Ornament. I got enough supplies to make 20 of them from Micheal's for about $5. I made an example of each ornament and then took a picture. I wanted to show how the finished ones looked so I put it on the back. I edited it in Publisher using a shipping label template so I could make alot of them quickly.

Supplies
Stamps: A Child Is Born - Unity Stamp Company
Foam Ornaments & Pencils - Michael's

Then I made her teachers a post-it note holder and a recipe book.

My Pink Stamper 12 Days of Christmas - Video & Challenge

Nativity Card using Christmas Wishes Stamp Set

Card Instructions
Card Base: 10.5" x 5.25"
Emboss the front of the card using: Swiss Dots - Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Cut the following out using a Cricut Machine and Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge
Nativity - 3"
Sheep - 2.25"
Donkey - 2.25"
Camel - 2.25"
Manger - 2.5"
Baby Jesus - 2.5"
Cut the following out using a Cricut Machine and Christmas Cricut Cartridge
Star - 3.5"
After cutting out everything use a sanding block or ink to distress the edges so the whole image will appear better. I sanded Core'dinations paper because the core of the paper is another color so it creates a nice effect. On the other papers I used Tea Dye ink from PaperTrey Ink. Then I stamped "Silent Night" using My Pink Stamper's Christmas Wishes Stamp Set. The stamp paper can be adhearded to the inside of the Nativity Stable. I adhered all the pieces using Scotch Quick Dry adhesive & foam squares. You need a strong adhesive so the paper will stick to the embossed card base. Sorry when I shot my video of this card, my camera batteries weren't charged. So it died about 4 times, because I would charge them for about an hour and then film some more. So I'm sorry the video is a bit pieced together but most the details are there.

My friend Carly makes bows, tutu's & tie dye onesies. So I took some of her stuff to sell. I wasn't sure how to display everything, until I thought of the trees. I love how these bows look on the tree. My sister-n-law even wanted to buy the whole tree of bows.

Since then....
my husband & I have been working on this...

The Gate
Cafe & Bookstore
at our church

We remodeled this space in the foyer at church for the Cafe & Bookstore. I recently took over this ministry in October. We just opened our new cafe last weekend. Lets just say we spent many long days at church to get this project completed but I love how it turned out.

The books are displayed on the wall, across from the cafe, in crates that we made. After making these. I would love to make crates to store stuff in all around my house. It would be great for an entry way (each kid could have a crate), above an office desk, and of course in a scrapbook room. The possibilities are endless.

Now we are enjoying this Holiday Season. Check out www.mypinkstamper.com for great Holiday Projects everyday. The design team has made some special videos, just for you.
