Coupon Organizer

A great way to organize your coupons by categories (that you decide) and not take up too much room in your purse. Of course I had to make it look super fun too.
I've tried using the accordion coupon holders but they are just too big that I don't like to keep them in my purse. So I designed this one since it is a lot thinner I will always have it with me.
Of course this method is only for the occasional couponer since it will only hold so many.

Supplies & Instructions

Photo Envelope
Start with a Photo Envelope. It is large enough to hold 4x6 photos. Perfect for holding 4x6 index cards that will be the dividers. I tucked the flap in the envelope to give extra support and so it wouldn't be in the way.

 4x6 index cards
Then use 4x6 index cards (or cut paper 4x6) for as many dividers you want to separate your coupons into categories.

TABS
Then I had some punch out embellishments I bought at Big Lots a while ago. On the back it had a bunch of tabs. So I used those for the tabs on my dividers. If you don't have any and want to save money. Just cut rectangles and fold them in half. Adhere them to stick up on the top and you have homemade tabs.

Pattern Paper
I covered the outside of the envelope with a thick pattern paper. To decorate it but also to make it pretty. on the front I even folded it down about 1" so make it stronger. It was a double sided pattern paper so, that is where the orange color came from.
Adhesive
Use your favorite adhesive to glue everything together. This is my ATG gun. It is my favorite tape adhesive I like to use. But use what you have.
Ribbon
I tied ribbon around it to help hold it all together and it also dresses it up. I didn't put a bunch of embellishments on the outside because they would just get messed up in my purse.

  1. Cute idea Angela, I may need to try this--I don't use a ton of coupons, but have no good place to keep the ones I do get on hand, they always end up at home in the drawer when I'm at the store!! Thanks for the directions!!
