Fantabulous Cricut Crawl- Share The Love!

Sweetheart Card - Love Is Life

Welcome to Simple Creations and the fourth Fantabulous Cricut Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!

Valentine's Day is in a week and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to Share the Love!   Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Valentine-themed project that includes the word LOVE somewhere on it.

If you've come from visiting  Andrea at http://divinedomestic.blogspot.com, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE.

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Share the Love" project at FCCB!
How fun is that?

For my project...

I curved this stamp on my block to stamp it around the circle.

I copied this cut 4 times on my gypsy. In each cut I hid some of the cuts using this button under the advanced tab on my gypsy. I cut the hair and shoes in brown, their shirts in white, the silhouette in a pale cream color, then his pants in brown and her skirt with a patterned pink paper. This is how I was able to cut out so many colors with out repeating the same cuts over and over. I LOVE MY GYPSY! I waited 2 months to get it replaced and I didn't know how to function and create without my GYPSY. Sometime I will do a post all about why it is a Must Have.

I shaded the cuts with my Copic Markers. I have only ever used them on white paper. I love how it made the card come to life and added detail by shading a bit. Then I gave her a stickle earing & ring.

Stamps
Love & Love is Life are both from My Pink Stamper's Love-alicious Stamp Set. These stamps are made from an amazing quality & stamp so clearly. She just released 10 new stamps sets. Check them out HERE.

  1. I just love my Gypsy. I was so scared to use it at first, but now I don't know why I waited so long to get one! I love how I can save paper when cutting a lot of designs. I can line them up closer to waste less. I also love that I can hide cuts. It really comes in handy to be able to cut exactly what you need on an item.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  2. What a super card! I love the way you curved your stamp.
My favourite Gypsy feature is the duplicate key when contours are hidden. DS doesn't work as well for that.

  3. I like the hide feature. This way I can add my own faces and more to certain cuts. Love your card.

  5. Cute! It's amazing what you were able to do with the cut of the couple with your Gypsy. And I love how you curved "Love" to go around the circle.

  8. Your card is cute. I love the couple images! One of my favorite things about the Gypsy is that we can lay out a design and save it for reference and to recreate the design in the future. Awesome job and thank you for sharing.

I did make birthday invitations on it and it was pretty cool to have it set up exactly how I wanted the words and it cut it out all on one piece of paper! Your card it so cute! I wish I was that creative!!

  22. I love the Gypsy cause I can put everything I want/can cut on one 12X12 sticky mat and cut it all at once! Also, I love seeing exactly where and the exact size things will be cut. Before I got the Gypsy I was always having to run thru a few test cuts or waste a TON of card stock.

  32. I love this card and I really appreciate you showing a picture of the advanced tool screen on the gypsy and providing the cut information. I got my gypsy a few months ago and am rather intimidated by it. I have cut a few things from it and love the fact that I can take it with me anywhere. I'm now a new follower of your blog and hope to continue to learn new features on my gypsy.

I just got my Gypsy not long ago and haven't really learned to use it that well yet. I think one of my favorite features will be the hide contour feature that we waited so long for. Thanks for offering a chance to win that awesome Gypsy sleeve. I only have the one that came in the box.

  60. Your little card people are adorable and I like the combination of colors and textures.

I don't own a gypsy and until I have seen them used on some of these blog sites, I didn't have an interest in owning one. I have to say that I do like the idea of being able to work on ideas on road trips or even just not in front of a computer.

  61. This is a lovely card, I really like the circular style cards even though they don't stand up easily.
I don't have a gypsy at the moment but it is my birthday next month so fingers crossed lol. For me a gypsy would be a great addition, I am disabled and I could use it anywhere even when sitting in my wheelchair whilst out and about. Also as I share my laptop with my hubby I would still be able to create instead of always thinking 'oh I could be designing that now in design studio but I will just have to wait'!

  62. This is fabulous! I love that you were able to use the Gypsy to keep from cutting these parts over and over again. Layering can sometimes be tricky:) The Gypsy is amazing. You ROCK!! My favorite thing about the Gypsy is that when I do create something that takes a long time to design I can SAVE it! Love, love, love your card:) TFS.

  63. I just got my Gypsy about 2 months ago and i love it. I like how I can put items closer together on the mat. When using my Paper Dolls Cart I can cut more by turning every second one upside down. I also love the "hide" button..if I want a certain part I just hide the rest. I am new to all this but I love all the help and info out there. Cheers
