Baby Stroller- 2"
First, I started with the base card of 4.25" x 11". Then used the border punch along one bottom. Then embossed the dots with the cuttlebug. Stand the dots to show off the pink core. I love this paper because the outside is black and the inside is pink. Tie the ribbon into a bow around the card. Cut out the Cricut Cuts and embellish. For the accent of tissue paper I cut it as shown in the picture above. Then I put 2 strips of my tape adhesive on it then began folding it randomly until it looked how I wanted. I hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to create your own.

ReplyDeleteGreat job on your card! I love the pink and black combo.
ReplyDeleteI think the Gypsy is a must for several reasons, but my number one reason is because it saves paper.
Thanks for sharing,

That is just adorable!!
ReplyDeleteI really want to see why gypsy is a must...I have yet to get one and I want to be super convinced to buy it before i get one!
ReplyDeleteVERY cute card!
ReplyDeleteI got my Gypsy for Christmas and love the hide feature as well as the welding. Thanks for the chance to win! I have been wanting a cover for mine, but haven't ordered one yet.
amandawoodau at hotmail dot com
I got my gypsy a few months ago and I don't know how I managed without it before. I love you can see exactly where something is going to be cut on the mat and the exact size. I also love the weld feature and that you can combine elements from more than one cartridge at a time. The Gypsy rocks!!!
ReplyDeleteOh and I absolutely love your project. It is adorable. I am a new follower, I found you through Robyn's blog hop.
Your card is just adorable. I simply could not live without my Gypsy. I travel alot and design for four different sites. I'd never get anything done if I didn't have the portability of taking my Gypsy everywhere I go. It's so nice to just be able to plug into my Cricut when I get home and cut away.
ReplyDeletethat's awesome, I've never see that technique before ! tfs !
ReplyDeleteHUGS!
I too love my gypsy. I cant imagine not having one! There are so many reasons why I find it helpful but the number one reason would be that it stores all the information from each of my cartridges into one portable location. If you don't have one...I suggest you go shopping for one!!

very pretty :)
ReplyDeletealways like to see just what that Gypsy can do!
ReplyDeleteLovely card! I love the texture. I also LOVE my Gypsy because it's where I plan out all my paper cutting before I cut. This way I avoid tearing the paper because of the wrong blade depth. PC owes me because I've "sold" this little gadget to at least 3 people by showing them how I use mine. LOL-Really though-I love to use it. THANKS for the blog-hop, it's so much fun.
ReplyDeleteYour card is wonderful and i love the tissue paper accent. Very original.
ReplyDeleteAs for the gypsy, it's a must have for creating on the go, for using at swarms or meet-ups and for being able to customize how you want your cuts to look.

Love your card, I don't think I remember how to use my cricut without my Gypsy! I never leave home without it, I just loving creating new things on it and then rushing home to cut them out! It's been the best tool i have purchased! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletepatting161 at yahoo dot com
Adorable card!! I love how you used several different shades of pink! Very nice! I love my gypsy for the hide feature and also because on crazy days when I can't get into my craft space, I can still sit in the middle of the chaos of kids and plan a project! TFS!
ReplyDeleteYour card is sooo cute. I really like what you did with the tissue paper and the brads. It really makes this card unique. XOXO, Julie. :0)
ReplyDeleteI just got my Gypsy last month for my birthday and WOW... love it! Reasons I love it:
ReplyDelete1. I don't have to keep swapping out cartridges.
2. I can lay out my paper on the mat and cut once.
3. You save on paper since you can cut only the parts of the design you want.
4. It is portable so I can design while in the carpool line.
5. I can see what carts I own on my Gypsy.
6. I can play with carts I don't own yet and make a wish list.
7. I don't have to be near my computer to cut like with DS.
There are probably many more but those are what I have discovered in just 1 month of use.
LOVE IT!!!
Oh, my gosh can I just tell you how much I love my gypsy!!!! I was able to score one when Michaels had them on sale for $49. This week, because of snow, I was able to load all of my cartridges on it and play.
ReplyDeleteI love being able to create ANYWHERE. I haven't taken it anywhere, yet, except around the house and even that is a HUGE plus. Having a gypsy has really opened up more doors for my cricut creating. I'm so glad I made the purchase!!!
Oh and I love this blog hop, too!!! :-D

Well I just bought my gypsy online a few days ago and it's on it's way in the mail. I've heard so many good things about the gypsy and can't wait to experience everything that the gypsy has to offer. It's going to be so nice to design a card before I even get down to my craft room. Now I go down here then sit and look at my cartridges and wonder what I am going to do. This is going to make my crafting life So much easier having everything all together and being able to design on the go!!!

I do not yet have a gypsy, but have seen it used a lot on My Pink Stamper and it looks easy to use and makes your cricut use way easier. I like the idea that you can use the gypsy to weld letters together to form a word instead of having to try to stick each letter on your card or layout separately.

My daughters and I all love to make cards and scrap so it is really handy when I need to go to their house to scrap. I have all my carts with me. Also makes it nice for them because they can then borrow some of my carts and I don't have to worry about getting them right back.

I just received my Gypsy and am still learning how to use it, but it certainly saves a lot of time by allowing you to weld letters together, so adding titles to scrapbook layouts is so much easier. I make albums for 5 kids, so anything that allows me to save time is a must in my book!

Your card is so cute! Seems like all the cards I'm making lately are for boys so it sure is nice to see a girlie card. I can't think of just 1 thing I love about my Gypsy, there are too many! I love that I can do a search for a particular item and see if it's one of the cartridges I have. TFS
ReplyDeleteA Gypsy is a must have to eliminate hunting for carts, plus...how cool would it be to design anywhere with the gypsy..waiting while picking up the kids from school or activities, waiting at the doctors...not to mention that people we ask you what it is, so you could have a chance to promote your craft, art and blog all in one swoop.

Miss Gypsy is a Must have for all cricut owners...I love that my gypsy stores ALL my cartridges in a one small handheld device, cuts images from different cartridges in one cut instead of having to stop and change each cartridge, the hide feature is a plus if you own any Peechy Keen stamps ;0) the welding is great for creating word mini albums, also if your not sure if you want to buy a specific cart., you can view all the images of any (ALL) Provo Craft cartridges before you decide you want to buy!!!! I can keep going but the list will never end!

I don't have the gypsy yet, but almost have enough cricut reward points to get one for free, so how cool would it be to already have this pretty sleeve to go with it!!!! pattypenn199@msn.com
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say so I delete my post. I love my Gypsy and she would love your prize. A Gypsy is a must have because it is all I use. I never put my cartridges in my Cricut any more. I change everything I do with my Gypsy and I save it. I could go on and on. I love your card and thanks for all the details. I would love to give it a try.

love the card!!! all my friends (as well as myself) are in the having baby phase so I love seeing baby cards!!
ReplyDeletethe gypsy is a must have in order to cut down on paper waste! I was always re-cutting to get the size that I really wanted. Being able to see how big the cut is going to come out totally eliminates that problem!!

A Gypsy is a must have because you can be designing anywhere. Never waste any time traveling, watching TV or waiting in a Dr office. Bring your gypsy and save your work.

ReplyDeleteGreat card! I love my Gypsy, it saves me so much time when crafting. Don't know how I lived without one for so long!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card! I am fairly new to my gypsy as I received it as a Christmas gift from my three wonderful children. But I must say I save lots of paper now and love the fact that I can bring it with me wherever I go! Oh and lets not forget that I don't have to pull out all my carts to make a cut now! I don't know how I survived without it! Thanks for the giveaway!

What a sweet card! Thank you so much for sharing the tissue paper idea with us. And you are so right about the Gypsy - I LOVE IT! no more switching carts, they are all in there. And I can put all the different papers on the mat at one time and know exactly where they need to be. Gypsy is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWhy do I need my Gypsy?? I love all the additional design options and the portability. I can make, take and continue to create!!
ReplyDeleteIn addition your card is really cute!! I have so many friends having babies! I guess I should get working on my gypsy!
This card is gorgeous! We have two nieces who are expecting, so I may just have to borrow your design. : )
ReplyDeleteI received the Cricut and Gypsy for Christmas. My 10 year-old niece and I are having a great time crafting together. We’ve been inspired by and learned so much from your web site and others. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
The Gypsy’s a great tool because you can use any shape to create a card. I created a large heart-shaped Valentine's Day card with the Gypsy using a heart from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More (free download for the Gypsy). I flipped the second image of the heart and welded the two hearts together (cut at 4", based on a large envelope I had). I used a decorative paper for the outside of the card, and I cut the same shape again on textured pink cardstock for the inside of the card. I used my ATG gun to adhere the pieces. The card was from my niece to her grandmother, so my niece decorated the card. She used a butterfly from Create-a-Critter for the front of the card; along with some heart-shaped embellishments she made using the Xyron sticker maker and red glitter. She then cut out a little girl using Everyday Paper Dolls to represent herself on the inside of the card, along with a heart-shaped jewel. The card turned out awesome, and we couldn't have done it without the Gypsy.
That is such a great idea, I've got to try this with tissue paper! Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeletejessi6266(at)gmail.com
I love the Gypsy because you can travel with it, you can use it in the card when riding along. I love it because you can plan and see what the project will look like before cutting it. I guess the most important reason why I like it is that you have your entire library with you when you go to someone's house for a scrap and they say you can use their Cricut. You have all your carts right with you.

ReplyDeleteThe reason why I MUST have the gypsy...I have a pretty boring job, so I take my gypsy with me, create, save, take home and cut. Such a time saver for me. Love it
ReplyDeleteoh my, I can name a zillion reasons why the Gypsy is a must have but I will only list 2 of the most obvious: 1.) it's portable so you can create anywhere, 2.)you can manipulate any shape to your outn specifications. I love it!

Super cute card! Love the pink and black. I think the gypsy is a must have beacuse it is so easy to hook up to your cricut and cut. You don't have to worry about having all your carts out all over taking up valuable crafting space!

This couldn't be more perfect, my daughter is having a baby, thank you so much for sharing your idea. jman4@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteMy gypsy is amazing! Since I have purchased it (about 3 months ago) I have used my gypsy 99% of the time to cut my images, You could just see everything you have in mind jump onto a screen and you are able to make sure that's what you want, instead of cutting it out and second guessing your self. I think any cricut machine owner should have one-:) Thanks for a chance to win this, :)

Fantastic card! I love your blog as well, I just spent the past 30 min perusing-so much good stuff! I have become a follower. I love my Gypsy. I love combining cartridges on the page and how you can get an actual size. I save everything because you never know when you might need something in a hurry.
ReplyDeleteI love how you used the tissue paper on this card. How cool! I just got a Gypsy a few months ago so I am still learning all the ins and outs of it. So far I love how I can use it while I am at the doctors office or at my son's soccer practice. It makes it so easy to combine images from multiple carts and cut them all at once.

Lovely card. I like what you did with the tisue paper, just lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have my G since Christmas and I am IN LOVE with it. I just can´t cut anything without it.
It is so versatile. I can design, look back and forward for different cuts, search for shapes or phrases and cut from many carts at the same time without being changing carts. Another benefit is that I just store all my carts and now I have more space in my work area. I just love my G!
Hugs,
Vivi

I don't have a dedicated craft room so my Cricut is not in a place where I can sit and play with it so with my Gypsy I can sit on the comfy couch and do all my designing and then just go to the Cricut to cut. Love it! And I love cherry blossoms too so I really hope I win! Thank you for the great giveaway and the awesome project!

I am new to the Gypsy. If I hadn't purchased the "How to Use the Gypsy" from Above Rubies Studio, I NEVER would have figured it out. So far, I like the 'weld" feature. Am still getting used to the Gypsy and like how accurate it is about cutting in the exact spot you program it to.

what a wonderful gift. A gypsy is a MUST have because you can create endless creations with all the features on it. I find myself gypsy-ing while laying in bed, in the pick up line at school, road trips, etc. I also love the idea of uploading pictures from your computer of cards and layouts to help get those creative juices flowing.
